ABOUT

Meeti loves the smell of rain-soaked mornings, ghee-soaked dosas and airport lounges. She writes from a small blue desk in Mumbai where she lives with her husband and daughter and a dozen temperamental houseplants.
Meeti is the author of the Temple Hill Mystery series, the first of which - The Death of Kirti Kadakia, published as A Mumbai Murder Mystery, internationally, - was longlisted for the CWA New Blood Dagger Award in 2022 and shortlisted for the Times of India Auther Awards in 2023.
Prior to this, Meeti has also written the critically acclaimed memoir, ‘Do You Know Any Good Boys?’ – A funny guide to the Indian arranged marriage, which has been optioned for screen. Her writings have also appeared in The Wall Street Journal, Mint Lounge, cntraveller.in and The India Today.
In a previous life, Meeti was an award-winning creative consultant and copywriter at global agencies such as DDB Mudra and Rediffusion Y&R. During her 16 years in advertising, she has worked on iconic brands like the Taj Hotels, Resorts & Palaces, Emirates Airlines, The Economic Times, BBC GoodFood Magazine and Colgate Palmolive.

She graduated from St. Xaviers College, Mumbai and has an M.A. in English Literature from the Mumbai University.

Apart from crime fiction, Meeti has also written a critically-acclaimed memoir about her arranged marriage, called 'Do You Know Any Good Boys? ' Her short stories, travel stories and personal essays have appeared in the Wall Street Journal, the Mint Lounge, the Conde Nast Traveller and India Today. When she's not plotting murder, she works as a creative consultant and has had an award-winning career in advertising for over 18 years.
